A familiar face in a new role

Manly fans will remember Myles’s uncompromising style and powerful runs during his two seasons with the Sea Eagles in 2016 and 2017. While his time with the Sea Eagles may have been relatively short, his impact was undeniable. He brought a level of aggression and experience that helped solidify the Manly forward pack.

Myles’s career, however, extended far beyond the Northern Beaches. Born and bred in Queensland, he began his journey with the Canterbury Bulldogs. He later represented the Sydney Roosters and the Gold Coast Titans, where he also served as captain.

Myles truly cemented his legacy on the representative stage. A mainstay in the Queensland Maroons jersey for over a decade, he earned 32 caps and played a crucial role in their era of Origin dominance. His fearless performances and unwavering commitment to the Queensland cause earned him legendary status among Maroon supporters.

He also pulled on the green and gold jersey for Australia, representing the Kangaroos in nine Test matches, including the victorious 2013 World Cup campaign.

From the field to the sidelines

Since retiring, Myles has remained involved in rugby league, working alongside Billy Slater in the Queensland State of Origin setup. Now, he’s embarking on a new chapter, bringing his experience and knowledge to Melbourne’s young players.

Working under head coach Mark Russell, Myles will be tasked with nurturing and developing the next generation of Storm stars. It’s a fitting role for the former enforcer, known for his leadership and dedication throughout his career.
